Shipping assistance for British companies
Tights that don’t pinch, sag, have no seams, don’t run and are now also biodegradable: The British start-up Hedoine sets high standards for sustainability with its elegant products – and is therefore supported by RHIEM for shipping in Europe.
Only rarely do pantyhose survive a day. They are delicate, pull unattractive threads, get runny stitches and wear out at the ankles and knees, much to the annoyance of their wearers. It’s no wonder that pantyhose are considered the number one disposable product and women carry a second pair with them as a backup to be on the safe side. Anna Rauch and Alexandra Tymann set out to change that: they founded Hedoine in London in 2017. They produce and sell run-resistant, well-fitting tights online, which are produced in an environmentally friendly way.
The latest models are even biodegradable. Durability, comfort and sustainability are important to the founders – also when shipping their innovative legwear. RHIEM supports Hedoine with plastic-free packaging: “We want to produce the most comfortable and sustainable tights, customers should only want to wear Hedoine,” says Anna Rauch, co-founder and COO of Hedoine. “That’s why we need a service provider for our fulfillment that meets the highest standards, lives sustainability, thinks in a customer-oriented way and with whom we can continue to grow.”
Unlimited shipping through international warehouses
Since Brexit, Europe-wide shipping has become more difficult for British companies. RHIEM therefore stores the innovative Hedoine tights at the Voerde site, packs them and ships them from Voerde to the European continent. The London-based start-up guarantees lower shipping costs and faster, efficient processing without lengthy customs formalities and fees for its customers. “As a fulfillment service provider, we have established partnerships with logistics hubs on all continents in order to provide our customers with efficient, international and cost-effective online shipping,” explains Dr. Peter Lorenzi, Managing Director of RHIEM Services GmbH. “The Voerde site offers advantages to British companies in particular, while our hub in Leicestershire offers advantages to European shippers who want to deliver to the UK.”
The Group has also long been committed to sustainability: it generates 50 percent of its energy requirements with its own solar systems. Certified recycled cardboard and plastic-free materials are used for packaging. Hedoine has its tights manufactured by medium-sized specialists in Europe, attaches great importance to fair working and production conditions and wants to carry this attitude through to its customers. RHIEM also stands for these values.
Unpacking also appeals to the senses and surprises customers. “Unboxing is becoming more important, many customers document their excitement when unpacking on social media such as Instagram,” observes Lorenzi. “As a group of companies, we not only offer complete fulfillment, but also develop individualized packaging on request.” More and more online shippers are designing their parcels like Hedoine, adding a nice greeting on cards or in the form of matching inserts. This has been proven to create a positive surprise for online customers, enhances the shopping experience and increases loyalty.
Set for growth
RHIEM not only offers packaging and fulfillment ideas, but also the resources for growth: the company has sufficient personnel and storage capacities to be able to react to short-term order peaks. This means that the service provider is prepared for the Christmas season and other holidays, when orders and shipments are particularly high, but also for the growth spurts of successful companies with innovative products and sophisticated advertising strategies. This is an advantage that start-ups and growth companies from the EU in particular, and more recently also from the UK, are currently recognizing and enjoying.
