Fulfillment for powder for the preparation of energy drinks & nutrient-rich shakes as a replacement meal
Energy drinks for e-athletes: RHIEM is taking off in a booming billion-euro market and is taking over the product fulfillment of powders for the preparation of replacement meals and merchandise products for the British start-up E-Sports Nutrition.
Concentrate well, perceive quickly, react immediately: E-athletes have to be able to call up their performance precisely over a longer period of time. The powders for preparing energy drinks and nutrient-rich shakes from E-Sports Nutrition help them to do this. The start-up from the UK sells its products throughout Europe, primarily via its own webshop (www.e-sportsnutrition.gg). RHIEM takes over the logistics fulfillment services for the start-up: “High-quality products need the best service, RHIEM offers the optimal service level for us and brings important experience in the fulfillment of nutritional supplements to our partnership,” says Dana Robertson, co-founder of E-Sports Nutrition. “The high quality standards that we apply to our work are what connects us to the RHIEM Group.”
The RHIEM Group offers approx. 48,000 m² of warehouse space at its European headquarters in Voerde near Düsseldorf. In addition to E-Sports Nutrition, many other British companies have outsourced their product and merchandise fulfillment to RHIEM Services since the beginning of the year. “Since mid-January, we have seen a sharp rise in demand for logistics solutions for mainland Europe. Bureaucratic obstacles such as customs duties and import sales taxes present British e-commerce companies with the major challenge of supplying their customers in Europe consistently. Even in this situation, we were able to offer many British companies a fast, flexible and comprehensive solution,” explains Dr. Peter Lorenzi, Managing Director of RHIEM Services
E-sports growth market
RHIEM supports the growth and expansion of its clients with scalable fulfillment services. Growth is planned at E-Sports Nutrition: founded by nutritional supplement expert Anthony Millar, three-time “World of Warcraft” world champion Mike Djebbara, creative mind Dana Robertson and operations expert Jennifer Vera Robertson, the British start-up is operating in a rapidly growing market. Hundreds of millions of people* around the world are already fascinated by the sporting competition of computer games such as Fortnite, Dota 2 and World of Warcraft – both as players and spectators. In 2019, almost one billion euros in revenue was generated mainly from sponsorship, advertising and streaming licenses, with Germany accounting for around 77 million euros**. Clubs such as Hertha BSC and Schalke 04 already have their own e-sports teams.
At E-Sports Nutrition, professionals develop nutritional supplements and meal replacements. After all, e-sports is about prize money, which can reach up to 25 million euros depending on the competition. Good, healthy nutrition is therefore extremely important in preparation.
Certification ensures hygiene and safety
As a service provider for online retailers, RHIEM delivers the energy drink powder to customers throughout Europe. The storage and shipping of food supplements are subject to particularly high hygiene and safety requirements. RHIEM has equipped itself for this: The company is certified in accordance with the international IFS Logistics and BIO standards. This ensures particularly hygienic and safe storage, packaging and shipping of food supplements and dry foods. In addition to food and nutritional supplements, RHIEM therefore also delivers cosmetics and health products on behalf of online retailers and brand companies.
“We are looking forward to the challenges in the e-sports market, which is still new to us,” says Lorenzi. “Many more innovations are sure to be developed for this – by E-Sports Nutrition and other companies.”
