Fast international delivery
Delivering shelves to customers in Europe and the USA: The brand manufacturer TEEbooks has delegated its fulfillment to RHIEM and has its designer furniture shipped from Voerde all over the world without having to worry about customs and export issues.
Simple, functional, practical: TEEbooks supplies durable wall, bathroom and standing shelves made of steel to lovers of minimalist design. The brand now delivers to Europe and the USA via its online store, which was founded by Italian designer Mauro Canfori in Nice in 2009. TEEbooks is supported by RHIEM: “TEEbooks shelves fit in perfectly with the purpose they are intended to serve and they don’t push themselves into the foreground,” says Canfori. “This is exactly how the relationship between TEEbooks and RHIEM can be described – customers experience fast, smooth delivery on our behalf and don’t even notice that the goods don’t come from Nice.”
Customs and export regulations regulated
Whether it goes to Italy, Spain, Great Britain or France – TEEbooks shelves come from Voerde. This is where the brand manufacturer initially relocated its shipping to German-speaking customers in 2021, and its entire international fulfillment is now centralized in Voerde: “In eCommerce, delivery speed is an important criterion for success; online customers want to be able to reliably receive and use their purchases in just a few days,” says Peter Lorenzi, Managing Director of RHIEM Services GmbH. “Thanks to partnerships and cooperation with logistics and fulfillment providers on all continents, we can supply the whole world within a few days.” Where import and customs regulations hinder the cross-border movement of goods, such as in the UK, RHIEM works with partners to organize shipping to the customer locally.
The TEEbooks wall, bathroom or standing shelves come in various colors and are made in Italy. The simple steel furniture and matching lamps are stored, packed and shipped in Voerde. RHIEM also manages the returns of TEEbooks’ online store and takes care of customs regulations and export declarations for shipments to other European and international countries. By cooperating with logistics companies such as UPS, RHIEM can even ensure delivery to customers in the USA within a few days.
More flexibility through networks
To this end, the fulfillment specialist organizes express deliveries and air freight. It also offers storage space at partner companies in the USA, the UK and Singapore, which will be of interest to online retailers and webshops if delivery volumes in a country increase or even faster transportation routes are required. “Our structures are designed for growth and flexibility,” explains Lorenzi. “Through partnerships and networks, we can offer our eCommerce customers the customized services they need for regional and international business.” A strategy that has proven its worth, particularly as a result of Brexit: Although RHIEM continues to deliver to the island from Voerde, the UK’s exit from the European Union has made shipping there more difficult and significantly more expensive. Thanks to the British storage areas at RHIEM’s partners, the shipping and returns of TEEbooks design furniture can be handled inexpensively, safely and easily for everyone involved. In this way, companies can almost halve the costs for postal charges alone and also avoid the higher costs for import and customs.
This flexible business model is very popular with Mauro Canfori: The designer not only creates simple, functional TEEbooks shelves and lamps, he has also developed innovative planters and other beautiful everyday utensils under the Terracrea brand. The centralization of fulfillment in one hand allows him to concentrate on design, branding and retail. “Everyone does what they do best,” says Canfori. “That is also the advantage in design of contacts and networks that work reliably.”
