The number of cases is increasing worldwide, and with it the demand for coronavirus tests: RHIEM is packaging the toolkit for the new NADAL® COVID-19 Ag rapid antigen test for nal von minden, thereby accelerating its delivery all over the world.

Infected or not? The need for rapid tests to detect COVID-19 infection or coronaviruses is increasing worldwide. nal von minden GmbH, a specialist in medical test devices and in-vitro diagnostics from Moers for 38 years, therefore needs the support of the logistics and fulfillment experts from RHIEM in Voerde to package its new NADAL® COVID-19 Ag rapid test.

“We were operating at the limit of our capacities – without the support of RHIEM, we would not be able to deliver our test kits to doctors, hospitals, retirement homes and test centers so quickly and reliably,” says Sandra von Minden, Managing Director of nal von minden.

Packaging according to strict hygiene rules

RHIEM has structured its services in modules and can therefore also offer them individually – the basis for rapid assistance for nal von minden. Its new NADAL® COVID-19 Ag rapid test consists of two additional components in addition to the swab and test solution and detects protein fragments of the coronavirus just 15 minutes after a swab. Such tests are in high demand right now, as they are an important cornerstone for breaking the second wave, which is reaching us in the fall and winter with a massive increase in the number of cases.

The aim of politicians and health authorities is to break the chains of infection and protect citizens in this second wave by increasing testing capacities.

The NADAL® COVID-19 toolkit for nursing homes, doctors, clinics and test centers must be packaged according to the highest hygiene rules. RHIEM has equipped itself for such tasks: The logistics and fulfillment specialist from Voerde cooperates with mail order and online retailers, among others, and stores, packs and ships goods on their behalf, including closed foodstuffs, food supplements and cosmetics. For these sensitive product categories, RHIEM has set up special storage facilities and its own packing lines, where the demanding IFS Logistics standard and the increasingly important BIO certification for logistics service providers are taken into account. “We are fast and are happy to adapt to special requirements,” says Rhiem. “It’s great that we can now also make a contribution against the coronavirus pandemic.”
