RHIEM group ships sports nutrition products for online shop based in Berlin.
egg.de relies on RHIEM for logistics and fulfilment. The logistics specialist based in Voerde near Düsseldorf manages the warehousing and dispatch of sports nutrition products to individual sports enthusiast and team coaches.
The egg has become a trade name and logo: Eggs are natural products and a valuable source of energy and nutrients. It is thus only logical that a sports nutrition specialist would name itself after this power food: egg.de is based in Berlin and recently launched its online shop at www.foodspring.com. “We offer quality sports supplements for sports people and fitness enthusiasts. Our products have been developed in cooperation with doctors, athletes and specialists in the field of ecotrophology and re manufactured in Germany,” explains Philipp Schrempp, co-founder of egg.de. “By leaving the fulfilment and dispatch of our product to RHIEM, we are able to focus on our core business, the development of new products, customer support and marketing.”
The start-up enterprise is a subsidiary of ECONA AG, an e-commerce holding company and specialises in the development and marketing of sports nutrition made from natural ingredients. All its products are made in Germany. egg.de thus targets people who wish to keep fit, lose weight, excel in sports or build up muscle, offering them healthy food options. On the website, customers can do a body check and then select from a range of protein shakes, creatine powders, vitamin tables, amino acid capsules and diet drinks that suit their training schedule and body shape goals. “egg.de is the first lifestyle brand for sports nutrition,” explains Philipp Schrempp, outlining the vision of the company.
Focused on growth
The egg.de website was launched in November 3013. All orders made through the online shop are delivered by RHIEM. The fulfilment and e-commerce specialist guarantees proper hygienic storage of the egg.de products according to BRC standards. RHIEM packs the ordered goods for fast and reliable delivery to the customer. “As we are handling foods, we need to take special precautions,” says Dr. Stefan Rhiem, CEO of the RHIEM Group. “Our experience in this field is of course indispensible for fulfilment. We are pleased to assist egg.de from its very start-up with our expertise in this field.”
egg.de is currently selling its products only in Germany. With RHIEM on board, the company is however well prepared for the expansion of its business to an international market. “Given our network of international partners, we will be able to assist egg.de in expanding its business to other countries whenever the time is right,” explains Stefan Rhiem.
