For the launch of its Clarisonic brand in Germany, L’Oréal relies on the assistance of the RHIEM Group. The e-commerce service provider based in Voerde manages the Clarisonic website, online shop and fulfilment.
Gwyneth Paltrow, Hillary Swank and Jessica Alba are among the many women who already use Clarisonic products. The electric sonic cleansing system is even popular with men, such as the fashion designer Tom Ford. This amazing product will soon be available also in Germany. In July, L’Oréal will launch the Clarisonic range in Germany were it will go no sale in selected Douglas outlets and beauty clinics. The RHIEM Group will make sure that the innovative skin cleansing brush and other Clarisonic skincare products will also be available for purchase through the internet. The e-commerce and fulfilment specialist based in Voerde near Düsseldorf will mange the www.clarisonic.de website and handle all orders made through the brand’s online shop. “We are already providing L’Oréal Germany with packaging solutions and are delighted to assist the world’s largest cosmetics group in the promotion of its Clarisonic brand in Germany, boosting sales through the new e-commerce platform”, says Dr. Stefan Rhiem, CEO of RHIEM Group.
New brand – innovative partnership
Since its foundation in 2003, Clarisonic sold more than three million of its special skin care brushes in the US alone. This innovative high-tech device and the specially developed Clarisonic skincare products open up a completely new cosmetic market segment. Prior to the launch of the Clarisonic in Germany, L’Oréal and RHIEM set up a dedicated online shop for the brand, hosted and managed by the e-commerce specialist. Apart from detailed information regarding the individual Clarisonic cleaning systems, consumers can now order the product online or call a dedicated order hotline.
RHIEM is responsible for all online purchases, acting as an independent Clarisonic reseller. This means that RHIEM does not only accept the orders and ship the merchandise, but also sends out the invoices, deals with returns and credit notes and assesses the creditworthiness of buyers. “RHIEM provides the Clarisonic team with a comprehensive e-commerce solution for the German market, managed by a single specialist partner,” explains Dr. Stefan Rhiem. “Clarisonic can thus focus on the launch of its unique products and their marketing through retailers.”
