RHIEM developed the product packaging for the new natural foot care products from Herbacin cosmetic GmbH. The packaging has been designed specifically for the German and the international markets.
Established more than 100 years ago, Herbacin cosmetic GmbH based in Germany has developed into a leading manufacturer of natural cosmetic products that are sold all over the world. The company recently extended its portfolio by six special foot care products. The care range includes a warming balm, a foot peeling product, a leg lotion, a foot cream, a cooling gel as well as a cleansing gel for feet and legs. For the launch of these new products in the international and German markets, the company’s marketing agency and RHIEM teamed up to develop a printing concept that reflects the extensive experience of the partners in the design and production of packaging and their commitment to quality.
The packaging is based on the clear brand communication concept of Herbacin cosmetic GmbH, which is based on colour codes for different product categories. It was therefore imperative that the print colours on the cardboard boxes exactly match those of the tubes. This was actually more difficult to achieve than it sounds, as the tubes were produced with a completely different print technology. The packaging units were eventually produced by means of gang-run printing with 7 special colours and in drip-off matte/gloss finish with embossed Herbacin logo. By opting for gang-run printing, the production costs could be kept low without compromising the quality.
